Welcome to the Humboldt Library Foundation
From the outset, at the Humboldt Library Foundation we have been inspired by a simple idea -- to open the world of the public library for kids and families, for early learners and job seekers, for all who wish to reach for the treasures within.
We share this view with library-lovers across our community. Whether or not you use the library on a regular basis, we know the library is a place where dreams can be realized, doors opened, and the opportunity gap closed. It is this shared belief that brings us together to support this most important of public institutions – a community hub that links resources and information for those who enter the door, either virtually or online.
Through your generosity, last year we grant funded $144,550 to the library, grew our endowment funds, and added members to our Legacy Circle. We brought back the Holiday Gala in December, in person and to rave reviews. We published two newsletters, beefed up our presence on social media and regularly honored donors through our Donor Spotlight feature. We took on a special project and successfully raised $50,000 to purchase a cargo van to kick-start a new program, Home Delivery, the Library at Your Door, that will bring books and materials to the many who face transportation challenges, such as home-bound seniors and young families.
Finally, the public library is as unique and as diverse as the community it serves. We know your investment yields big returns – in patron satisfaction, opportunities offered, curiosity satisfied, and exploration for new ideas to be launched.
